Kern County Autism Center Fundraiser

Every April, Westside Church of Christ hosts a fundraiser luncheon to help support the Kern County Autism Center. This non-profit organization was established in 1990 in the rural community of Arvin. Their Their “DAIBREAK” program (Dedicated to Assisting Individuals, Building Responsibility, Esteem, Awareness and Knowledge) provides educational and life skills training for approximately 38 special needs adults with autism and similar behavioral challenges.

Volunteers at the luncheon sign up to host and decorate a table that fits in with the overall theme of the event. Check out these beautiful pictures of some of the tables. We love seeing these designers’ personal style and creativity on display!

This year, the Kern County Autism Center raised $45,000 from this event! Around 50 volunteers from Westside Church of Christ helped serve as table hosts, servers, set-up and clean-up crews, cooks and event attendees.
